About Beth Frykman

Crafting stories is my passion and my skill set. Sometimes it’s editing someone else’s work and finding the best way to pull the writer’s voice to the forefront through focus and style choices. Other times it’s expressing myself through my own writing and artwork. Yet other times it is telling the story of a brand through social media platforms and understanding how the sites pull together to form a cohesive, consistent message.

Part of any story meant for a page–paper or digital–includes the way it’s presented. Understanding how to make a written story visually compelling through layout design and corresponding images is more important than ever, and I find the graphic elements as exciting and important to a story’s success as the written elements. That’s why I chose a writing degree that included courses in graphic design, marketing, creative software, and social media. I wanted to have as many skills as I could to help with crafting stories, and now that I have them, it’s more exciting than ever.
